Vertical ladders climb straight up walls, tanks, silos, towers and plant. The higher they go the more the fixings, rest platforms and fall protection matter, and the harder it is to see defects from the base.

We climb and inspect each vertical ladder, check the fall protection in use, and record whether the arrangement still suits the height and frequency of use.

FAQs

Common questions

When does a vertical ladder need a cage or rail?

Taller ladders generally need fall protection such as a cage or guided fall arrest rail. We assess each ladder against its height and use.

Do you inspect ladders on silos and tanks?

Yes, including external ladders on silos, water tanks, chimneys and towers.

What about rest platforms?

Long climbs should be broken by rest platforms. We report where these are missing or damaged.
